LATEST VERSION: 0.8 - RELEASE NOTES
Pivotal Greenplum® for Kubernetes v0.8

Prerequisites

The following topics describe how to install and configure the software necessary to run Pivotal Greenplum for Kubernetes:

  • Kubernetes Node Configuration describes the Linux kernel configuration requirements for each Kubernetes node that is used in a Greenplum for Kubernetes cluster. These requirements are common to all Greenplum for Kubernetes deployments, regardless of which Kubernetes environment you use.

  • Minikube describes software requirements for deploying to Minikube. A Minikube installation enables you to demonstrate Greenplum for Kubernetes on a single-node system (your local machine), using minimal resources. It is not supported for production deployments.

  • Pivotal Container Services (PKS) running on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) describes software and configuration requirements for PKS on Google Cloud Platform. This is a recommended environment for evaluating, testing, or running workloads on Greenplum for Kubernetes.

  • Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) running on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) describes software and configuration requirements GKE on Google Cloud Platform. This is a recommended environment for evaluating, testing, and running workloads on Greenplum for Kubernetes.
